ONEVIOLIN, a viral sensation, is heading out on a major tour—and coming to Rovaniemi this October!

Rapidly rising to fame, ONEVIOLIN is a Finnish violinist who boldly transcends musical genres with a globally unique concept: reimagining famous hits using only a violin.

The success story began when Pekka Niemi, who studied at the prestigious Royal College of Music in London, started developing a concept in 2018 where he would arrange well-known songs using nothing but a single violin. Some tracks included up to a thousand violin layers. Videos uploaded to YouTube by the musician from Vaasa quickly went viral and marked the beginning of his fast-growing career.

In 2019, ONEVIOLIN performed with JVG on the sold-out stages of Ruisrock and Blockfest. The following year, he played his first solo festival gigs and won hearts as a finalist on Talent Suomi. His debut album, ONEVIOLIN, was released in 2022, and his subsequent tours around Finland have been nearly sold out. Last year, ONEVIOLIN also wowed audiences in Budapest with two sold-out concerts for nearly a thousand attendees.

His latest album, TWO, features stunning violin arrangements of global hits and three of Finland’s most-played radio songs from last year. Listeners can expect fresh interpretations of music by Adele, Avicii, Coldplay, David Guetta, Harry Styles, Swedish House Mafia, Mirella, KUUMA, and BESS, among others.

My concerts have always been visually impressive, but this time we’re turning it up several notches.
