ArtThursday workshops in summer 2025
The popular ArtThursday workshops continue in summer 2025!
Expect colorful and ever-changing techniques inspired by current exhibitions. Unless otherwise stated, the workshops take place in the museum’s art studio. Please check the location in the workshop description!
The workshops are free of charge and open to everyone. Each session can accommodate up to 25 participants. Spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Thursday, June 12 / 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM / Workshop: Watercolor Painting and Sea Salt
- Traditional watercolor painting – with the option to create fun color effects using sea salt!
Thursday, June 19 / 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM / Workshop: Bottle Doll
- The doll is made by using recycled paintbottle. The idea is to create a figure you adore, it can be a family member, a friend or any other character you like. Let's create a bottle doll with technique that is more eco friendly and sustainable.

Thursday, July 10 / 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM / The Big Painting Event
- The Big Painting Event returns! On July 10, we’ll paint and draw outdoors (weather permitting). The day also marks the birthday of Helene Schjerfbeck and is celebrated as Finnish Visual Arts Day. More details will be announced in late June.
