Ellinoora Unplugged
Tickets go on sale on Wed 29 Nov at 9:00 AM in Korundi’s online store and at Lippu.fi.
After performing at the recently sold-out Nokia Arena, Ellinoora will head out next spring on the first acoustic tour of her career. The Ellinoora: Unplugged tour offers an exclusive chance to hear Ellinoora’s beloved songs in brand-new arrangements, and in intimate concert venues the artist will come exceptionally close to the audience with her music. The diary-like tour begins at the end of February at Kerubi in Joensuu and will travel around Finland until early May. Ticket sales for the concerts begin on Wednesday 26 Nov at 9:00 AM.
“I love contrasts and concepts: when you’ve done something big, you have to do something small. Now that I played the biggest concert of my career so far, I want to do something intimate and come close to people with my songs. I’ve never done an acoustic tour before, and I don’t know when I’ll do one again. Next year we’ll be doing cool things — I’m really looking forward to it. Welcome along,” Ellinoora says.
Four-time Emma Award winner and one of Finland’s most successful singer-songwriters, Ellinoora released her new acclaimed album Melankolisten laulujen klubi (The Club of Melancholic Songs) in September. It is her fourth studio album and, to date, her most personal and ambitious body of work. The album’s success story has been exceptional: it has been both a commercial hit and a critical success, gathering glowing reviews. The new album has been widely praised as the best of Ellinoora’s career as she celebrates her 10th anniversary as an artist, and Helsingin Sanomat, Soundi, and Me Naiset have each awarded it four stars. Last weekend, Ellinoora performed her largest show ever at a sold-out Nokia Arena, becoming the youngest solo artist to do so.
