The Kirka Musical "Hetki Lyö" - 75th Anniversary Tour (FIN)

A musical about a singer and music icon loved by all Finns.

Kirka Kirill Babitzin is one of Finland’s most successful artists. He was born 75 years ago, and now it's time for an anniversary tour! Kirka was our country’s first true rock star, attracting wild crowds of screaming fans. With his Russian emigrant background, he had an exotic appearance with dark hair and blue eyes, full of charisma, and seemed destined to be a star. His family, including his siblings, was always important to him. With his unique voice, Kirka sang his way into the hearts of Finns through rock, pop, ballads, and even heavy rock.

This musical is a journey following in Kirka’s footsteps from the 1960s all the way to the 2000s. Alongside Kirka, we meet other key figures in Finnish popular music, such as Sammy, Muska, Danny, Katri Helena, Kassu Halonen, and Tapani Kansa. The show takes us through different phases of the singer’s long career, experiencing the excitement of Eurovision and Syksyn Sävel, success, love, and deep sorrow.

Kirka is portrayed by the critically acclaimed Ilari Hämäläinen. The musical features a wide array of unforgettable songs, including Hetki lyö, Leijat, Hengaillaan, Surun pyyhit silmistäni, Kahden hullun matka, Daada Daada, Yli synkän virran, Puhelinlangat laulaa, Lumi teki enkelin eteiseen, Krokotiilirock, and Kirjoita Postikorttiin.
