Sara Hakaste

Principal Oboe

Sara Hakaste started playing oboe at the age of 7 in her hometown of Espoo as a student of Sole Mustonen. She continued her studies at the Sibelius Academy, where her studies were led e.g. by Jorma Valjakka and Kyeong Ham. In addition, she has supplemented her skills with exchange studies at the Royal College of Music in London, and she has accomplished numerous master classes. In addition to her studies, Sara has performed in Finnish orchestras (including RSO) and joined the chamber music with her friends with Kuura.
Sara started working in the Lapland Chamber Orchestra in late 2021.
