Black Devils - Hurriganes Show

Black Devils feat. Ile Kallio & Janne Louhivuori featuring two legendary Hurriganes guitarists will perform at Korundi in Rovaniemi on Thursday, November 26. Making their first appearance in Rovaniemi, the band will play Hurriganes’ biggest hits and live favourites, along with new material and rarities. Advance tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, April 29 at 9:00 AM.

A book about Black Devils, “30 vuotta hurrikaanin silmässä” (“30 Years in the Eye of the Hurricane”), written by Topi Salmi, will be released in the autumn.

“Our goal as a band is to honour the original and create a true journey back in time for the listener. We’ve always wanted to keep the Ganes flag flying high, and for several years now we’ve had the privilege of sharing the stage with founding Hurriganes member Ile Kallio and Janne Louhivuori, who played in the band in the 1980s. The book tells the whole story, but unforgettable moments in our career also include collaborations with Remu and Hurriganes producer Richard Stanley. At the concert, we’ll celebrate the band’s long career—it will be an evening full of rock ’n’ roll joy, without holding back. Welcome!” says J-P Kakkola, leader of Black Devils.

The studio albums created with Ile Kallio and Janne Louhivuori—Get Ready! (2024) and Hooked (2025)—have received high praise from both fans and critics, reaching the top tiers of album charts. A live album recorded in Stockholm, Debaser Stockholm, was released in autumn 2025. The name Black Devils was originally considered for Hurriganes, but Remu was ultimately inspired by Johnny and the Hurricanes—and the rest is history. The current Black Devils lineup honouring the roots of Hurriganes includes J-P Kakkola (vocals, drums), Tero Salminen (bass), and Matti Kähkönen (guitar).
