Iiri Poteri - Whisper

Iiri Poteri’s performance installation Whisper will be presented as part of the anniversary exhibition Guests of Honour during the art museum’s 40th anniversary week. The work will be on view from Tuesday to Saturday during the exhibition’s opening hours, with its performative element taking place daily at varying times, mainly in the afternoon.

Whisper will be presented in Rovaniemi for the first time.

In her artistic practice, Poteri often explores themes related to vulnerability, immediacy and interaction. She is not afraid to use her own body as material in her work. For Poteri, being together, conversation and interaction are at the very heart of making and experiencing art. Her works, which make use of video, performance, installation, photography and sound, often invite audiences to actively participate.

Iiri Poteri is an artist based and working in Helsinki. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in 2021. Whisper was the artistic component of her graduation project.
