Timo Kotipelto & Robustik – Rock The Acoustic Metal!

What happens when the great classics of metal music are given a completely new acoustic twist? The answer is Timo Kotipelto & Robustik, a unique ensemble where familiar hits come to life in a way you've never heard before.

Throughout his career, Timo Kotipelto has performed countless acoustic duo shows in various line-ups, but this time the goal was to create something genuinely new. Instead of relying on a single accompanying instrument, the stage features a diverse range of instruments and musicians, opening up entirely new possibilities for arrangements and atmosphere.

The idea was born in 2021 when Kotipelto visited Seagulls’ Nest, hosted by the band Steve’n’Seagulls.

"The experience was extremely positive. We used different instruments than usual, and the arrangements worked brilliantly. When the opportunity arose to join forces with Leevi Pukki and Simo Heikkinen, everything immediately fell into place."

Audiences can look forward to a truly unique concert experience featuring acoustic reinterpretations of Stratovarius classics such as Hunting High and Low, Black Diamond, and Unbreakable, along with beloved rock and metal hits presented from a completely fresh perspective. The result is an energetic, surprising, and above all entertaining performance that combines the power of metal with the warm atmosphere of acoustic music.

Line-up:

• Timo Kotipelto – vocals
• Leevi Pukki – bass, backing vocals
• Anssi Salminen – guitar, mandolin, violin, backing vocals
• Simo Heikkinen – percussion, acoustic guitar, backing vocals

Timo Kotipelto & Robustik offers a rare opportunity to experience metal classics in a new way: acoustic, powerful, and full of heart.
