Ulla Hakoköngäs
2nd Violin
Born in Rovaniemi, Ulla Hakoköngäs became interested in playing the violin at an early age and started studying at the Lapland Music Institute as a student of Paula Vuolukka at the age of eight. Her main inspiration throughout her time at the music institute was cellist Kai Leinonen.
In 1988, Ulla continued her studies at the Sibelius Academy, where she studied under Olga Parhomenko. She studied the baroque violin under the tutelage of Sirkka-Liisa Kaakinen. Ulla Hakoköngäs has served as sub-principal 2nd violin of the Lapland Chamber Orchestra since 1995.
